This position is located at our office in Everett, WA. The hired individual will play a key role in supporting aerodynamic performance compliance for FAA STCs for Outer Mold Line (OML) changes that result from the installation of inflight connectivity systems (Starlink), and other projects that involve certification of aircraft exterior modifications. Tasks will include preparing aircraft 3D model geometry, assessing appropriate flight conditions for analysis based on aircraft performance, conducting Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses, and writing reports to help show compliance to various performance regulations required for AeroMech STC projects. The role will also include supporting Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) certification programs, and associated certification document development, flight test planning, coordinating and support, data analysis and RVSM compliance data package development.
Requirements include:
Proficiency with Computational Fluids Dynamics (CFD) tools and their use in aviation for the following:
Aerodynamic design and optimization, and refining aircraft performance
Air flow analysis
Showing compliance to various FAA regulations for aircraft performance
Must possess excellent writing and communication skills.
Proficiency with any of the following tools is desired: Star-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, Solidworks 3D, MATLAB, and analogous software tools.
Preferences Include:
Having a keen interest in aviation (in general) is highly preferred.
Experience showing compliance to FAA Part 23 and Part 25 aircraft airworthiness regulations is preferred, but not required.
Periodic travel may be required to support flight test activity.

This position is located at our office in Everett, WA. The hired individual will play a key role in developing structures substantiation analyses and reports to support development of STCs for the installation of inflight connectivity systems (Starlink) on various aircraft platforms. Tasks include stress/static and dynamic substantiation data, reports and analyses based on AeroMech developed mechanical installation designs. The role will also include developing and /or reviewing structures design data packages to support various STC projects.
Requirements Include:
At least five (5) years of experience developing static substantiation / stress analyses and reports for the installation of various systems and equipment on aircraft.
Experience developing and reviewing aircraft structural installation design packages developed to support aircraft airworthiness certification programs.
At least five (5) years of relevant experience with FAA part 25 / part 23 airworthiness certification.
Preferences Include:
Having a keen interest in aviation (in general) is highly preferred.
Proficiency with SolidWorks (or analogous engineering design tools) and to have at least five (5) years of work experience with using Solidworks for aircraft engineering designs.
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other computational techniques used to simulate how aircraft structure or aircraft materials behave under various conditions. Experience with conducting damage tolerance analyses (DTAs) and bird strike is preferred but not required.
Past working relationship with the FAA and / or ODAs is preferred, but not required.

This position is located at our office in Everett, WA. A mechanical designer / drafter at AeroMech is responsible for, but not limited to creating a variety of mechanical and structures design packages, primarily in SolidWorks, for the installation of various types of equipment on aircraft.
AeroMech is particularly involved with developing STCs for the installation of in-flight connectivity systems for companies such as Starlink. The design packages for the Starlink Aviation system will include developing, updating and / or reviewing detailed parts drawings, assembly drawings and installation drawings. The role will also include configuration management, as well as control of developed and existing drawing packages.
Requirements Include:
At least five (5) years of previous experience developing mechanical part drawings, assembly drawings, and installation drawings for equipment that is installed in aircraft.
Proficiency with SolidWorks and / or analogous mechanical design software is required.
Must be knowledgeable with aviation standard drafting practices.
Preferences Include:
A keen interest in aviation is essential.

This position is located at our office in Everett, WA. The hired individual will play a key role in managing a team of engineers to lead efficient development of mechanical design packages to support STCs for the installation of inflight connectivity systems (Starlink) on multiple aircraft platforms. The role will also include maintaining and updating installation designs that have been previously approved under various STCs.
Requirements Include:
At least five (5) years of relevant experience with the development of structures design packages used to support STCs for the installation of systems and equipment on aircraft.
Previous experience conducting aircraft site surveys is required. A willingness to travel for surveys is required.
Ability to manage aggressive schedules and allocate resources as needed to various tasks to ensure efficient completion of all engineering design packages.
Must be proficient with SolidWorks (or analogous engineering design software) and have at least five (5) years of work experience with using Solidworks for aircraft engineering designs.
Excellent project management skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
Must present well in front of current / prospective customers.
Preferences Include:
Having a keen interest in aviation (in general) is highly preferred.
At least five (5) years of relevant experience with FAA part 25 / part 23 airworthiness certification.
Past experience with Damage Tolerance Analyses (DTAs), structures substantiation reports, FEA and / or other structural analyses is preferred, but not required.
